Ok, I am not one for anything Star Wars. I have never been one to get into the movies, however my husband loves the old classics with Harrison Ford and I caught him and my 3 yr old watching them one Saturday morning while I had a much needed rest. My son seemed to really take to the show so when i saw a post on Pinterest about how to make your own light sabers I was intrigued. It was much, much easier than I had ever thought it could be. I whipped a few of these babies up in no time and voila! My son and his father could have a blast being Darth Vader and Han Solo in the back yard!

Pool noodle
Duct tape
Scissors
Electrical tape
Imagination :)
Directions:
1. Cut pool noodle in half (a kitchen knife and cutting board worked very well).
2. Wrap cut end of pool noodle in duct tape (I put 2 pieces of duct tape overlapping the cut part and then wrapped it around the noodle part way up to make the handle)
3. Add designs with different sized pieces of electrical and duct tape to make the light saber unique
4. Have Fun!
Yes people it was that easy and they have had hours upon hours of use and fun and only cost about 2 bucks to make 2 of them! What a great deal!

dawn dish soap
Directions:
* Put 2 1/2 cups of water and1/2 a cup of corn syrup in a bowl and microwave for 3-4 minutes. Stir to combine. Gently mix in 1/2 a cup of Dawn dish soap. I made 4 batches of this and placed it inside the new beverage dispenser.

We now have our own bubble dispenser without the mess of trying to pour out of large jugs. I just use small plastic cups from Ikea for my son to fill up with his bubble mixture. Best part, is he can now easily pour it himself and if we run out I can make more! :)
PS ~ sorry I have no idea how to rotate the picture!!!
